ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
Our environmental education proposals are designed to be enjoyed by groups of individuals, associations and school groups, with the possibility of choosing from those designed by us, or to carry out specific projects together for each type of group, we can also count on the collaboration of local operators for accommodation and other professional figures such as mountain guides and local cycling guides.
OUR GUIDES
Below is a brief introduction to the people we can count on as nature guides and guides of the Maritime Alps Park Authority.

NATURE WALK
The territory of the Park Authority offers many itineraries, with the help of a professional figure such as a guide you can reach unique places, while discovering the history, culture and traditions of the area. A Park guide is a nature guide, a professional figure with particular training on the specific natural environment of the Park, who tries to convey the principles for its conservation and respect, helping the visitors to the Park to learn more about the places, the characteristic flora and fauna as well as their uses and local traditions.
For all excursions it is necessary to have basic equipment in your backpack, with specific precautions based on to weather conditions, the territory or the specific activity. It is therefore good to always carry water and food with you, wear clothing appropriate to the season, remembering that in the mountains it is always important, in any season, to have an extra sweatshirt and/or jacket.
Basic equipment usually includes a summer hat or winter cap, as well as a pair of gloves in case of cold temperatures. It is also a good idea to anticipate possible weather variations, remembering to also equip yourself with a cagoule or a cape to wear in case of rain.
It is also essential to protect your eyes and parts exposed to the sun, with sunglasses and sunscreen.
Having a headlamp is always useful and will be essential in case of night outings, late returns or sudden situations of no light.
In addition, it can be useful to equip yourself with binoculars, walking poles or even a professional camera to capture the most exciting moments experienced during these experiences

CiClimatici Trails

Underground: the Bandit Caves
In recent years, the Maritime Alps have been the site of numerous archaeological finds that testify to the importance of this territory in ancient times.
The Archaeological Park of Valdieri documents the presence of people here since the Bronze Age and later in the Iron Age.
We will retrace the history of the Ligurians and Celts, discovering their habits, as we walk to the Grotte del Bandito, limestone caves that over the centuries have been a place of refuge for large carnivores and people and which today are home to insects, arthropods, rare amphibians such as the cave salamander and several species of bats.
Starting from the Archaeological Park of Valdieri, this is an 8 km loop that leads to Roaschia and the caves of the Grotte del Bandito nature reserve, a site of finds of historical importance and of particular interest for the rare species found here.
Access to the caves is restricted to certain times of the year in order not to disturb the resident wildlife.

HUNGRY LIKE A WOLF!
dieta.
Sorting through hairs of wild boar, roe deer, ibex and chamois. Who knows which animals the wolf is most greedy for!
The voracity with which it consumes its prey has given rise to this famous saying: hungry like a wolf!
We know that they are opportunistic and generalist carnivores, but what do they eat?
But above all, have you ever wondered how we find out what prey they feed on?
Like real professional wolf researchers, and a bit like good nature detectives, on a short walk we will go in search of traces and clues of wolf predation.
Subsequently, using scientific methods we will find out which animal ended up in the wolf's belly, thus defining its true diet.
