Guided Tour from the Top of the Piastra Dam

A fascinating journey to discover Entracque, a small Alpine village rich in history, traditions, and vestiges of the past, including a climb to the top of the Piastra Dam, which offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

Among ancient churches, fountains, and mule tracks, we will retrace the tales of a mountain community that for centuries has witnessed the passage of travelers, merchants, and legendary figures between Piedmont and Provence. A territory that still preserves traces of stories of kings, queens, and ancient routes.

The more recent history of Entracque is deeply tied to the construction of the Enel Green Power hydroelectric plant, built in the late 1960s thanks to the unique geomorphological conformation of the Gesso Valley.

This impressive project has shaped the lives of local communities, contributing not only to electricity production but also to the safety of the area, thanks to its ability to store water in the event of extreme weather events.

At the end, you'll have time to discuss with your guide, learning about interesting facts, anecdotes, and lesser-known aspects of this unique area.

Required Materials: Comfortable shoes with non-slip soles, a raincoat, and a sweatshirt are recommended.

A backpack is required for babies.

Note: The activity will be conducted with a minimum of 4 paying participants.

The tour is conducted primarily in Italian.
