🔬 🌸 The "Science in the Garden" events are back

With the "Discover Nature" series, which will take place every Monday and Tuesday in July and August, we look forward to seeing with your own eyes and the tools that real scientists use at the "Valderia" Botanical Garden.

🗓️ MONDAY:

🪻 10:30 AM - Botanist for a Day

We will create a botanical worksheet: through observation, we will be able to reproduce a drawing and make curious notes with all the peculiarities of the plants around us. We will learn to recognize the basic structures of plants and flowers, and recognize and learn to use identification keys, just like real botanists. We will be ready to solve the final mission: find the missing tag!

🍄 3:30 PM - BioBlitz: Biodiversity in the Garden

Objective: Survey the garden's biodiversity.

By observing everything that lives in the garden, we will be prepared to discover its biodiversity—not just plants, but also animals, fungi, and lichens that enrich this environment.

We will learn how to use the iNaturalist tool, which can accompany us in our daily observations.

🗓️ TUESDAY:

🌏 10:30 AM - Living in the mountains: how to adapt to climate change

If you were a plant living in the mountains, what challenges would you face?

Thanks to the garden, we can discover the different adaptations that plants have developed to survive in different conditions. Little by little, we will be able to hunt for these adaptations and learn how plants live and survive.

Climate change doesn't just alter temperatures, but the entire ecosystem and the relationships that support it.

📜 3:30 PM - Botanical treasure hunt

Have you ever been to the "Valderia" Botanical Garden?

You can find out thanks to the botanical treasure hunt, a true collection of clues conducted in the garden. Among flowerbeds, adaptations, and various environments, you will find your own treasure of biodiversity!
