EXCURSION

Excursion between dams and lakes starting from the foot of the Chiotas Dam crown (1800 m above sea level) to reach the Genova refuge overlooking the natural mirror of Lake Brocan (2020 m above sea level).

At the Enel Green Power Visitor Center, a model and several models will allow us to understand the real functioning of the Enel Green Power Hydroelectric Power Plant. We will then continue by car to the Lago delle Rovine, where through the private Enel road exceptionally open for the occasion, we will thus reach the foot of the Chiotas Dam entering the heart of the mountain. An excursion entirely dedicated to the discovery of the most "powerful" hydroelectric power plant in Italy and its contextualization in the historical-alpine panorama. After a short walk on the crown of the Chiotas, we will continue to Lake Brocan. The return will be after lunch unless there are adverse weather conditions

Difference in altitude: 200 m approx

Path: Simple route, approximately 7 km; Difficulty level: E

Lunch: packed lunch at the expense of the participants

Material: mountain boots*, mountain clothing, hat, water, sunscreen, k-way or cape, recommended to dress in layers.

*penalty of exclusion from the excursion

NOTES:

• The return will be after lunch unless there are adverse weather conditions, reaching the Rifugio Genova is not guaranteed.
• Dogs are not allowed.
• The excursion will be validated when there are at least 8 participants
• Fill in the Notes field to inform the guide of any pathologies
• Visit conducted mainly in Italian
